Who this policy covers

This policy applies to mile-seo.com and to anyone who visits the site, books a call, or otherwise contacts Mile SEO. Mile SEO is the data controller for the personal data described here.

What this site collects automatically

The site itself sets no first-party analytics cookies, loads no advertising or tracking pixels, and requests no webfonts, so no font provider ever sees your IP address. Standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, may be retained briefly by the hosting provider for security and reliability, and are not used to profile visitors.

Visit statistics

The site counts visits with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address and does not identify you personally. It records the page viewed, the site that sent you, your browser, operating system, device type and country, and two anonymous events for the consultation pop-up: when it is shown and when its button is clicked. The figures are only looked at in aggregate, to see which pages are read.

Browser storage

The consultation pop-up keeps a small note in your browser’s storage so it does not keep reappearing: when you last closed it, and whether you have booked a call. A second note, cleared when you close the tab, counts the time spent on the site during the visit. These notes stay on your device, are never sent to Mile SEO, and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings.

What is collected when you get in touch

If you book a consultation, the booking tool (Calendly) collects your name, email address and chosen time, and shares it with Mile SEO so the call can happen. If you email Mile SEO directly, your email address and the contents of your message are stored in the mailbox they were sent to.

Calendly

The booking calendar on the contact page is provided by Calendly, which acts as a separate data controller for the information you give it. It only loads once you scroll to it, so nothing is sent to Calendly before then. Their own privacy policy governs what they do with your data.

How this information is used

Information collected through a booking or an email is used only to respond to you, discuss a possible engagement, and — if you become a client — to deliver the work agreed. It is not sold, rented or used for advertising.

How long data is kept

Enquiry and booking details are kept for as long as needed to respond to you or deliver an engagement, and are deleted or anonymized once there is no ongoing reason to keep them.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access the personal data held about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@mile-seo.com. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Data security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect the personal data described here against loss, misuse and unauthorized access.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children, and no data is knowingly collected from anyone under the age of 16.
